Aging is a process we all will go through and when it comes time to finding quality care for your loved one things to consider should be:
-Are they getting the treatment and services they need?
-Does their environment provide them with the highest level of safety?
-Are they getting the social interaction they need?
-Does their education prevent risk for falls and injury and allow them to take control of their independence?
We make a detailed assessment of your home and make recommendations to make you safer and to help you to function more independently in your home.
We use LSVT Big treatment protocol and other interventions to help clients with Parkinson’s disease to move more normally.
We assist clients with dementia to be able to engage in meaningful activities and to assist caregivers in managing their loved ones with dementia.
We assist clients experiencing a decline in cognition by addressing memory, problem-solving, and organizing to enable better management of personal daily tasks.
We assist clients to regain function, strength, and independence after neurological injury.
We use the CDC’s STEADI program and other interventions to reduce fall risk and also assist with recovery if a fall occurs.
We train caregivers of clients how to best support their loved ones in their disease process or recovery from disease/injury.
We provide compensatory strategies for the visually impaired to be able to function better in their homes.
We evaluate your abilities and make recommendations for equipment that will help you to be safer and prevent falls.
We have a cash-based wellness program, to which you can transition, once medically necessary treatment is completed.

Did You Know ...

Did you know that the most profound effect of falling is the loss of function associated with independent living and that falls are the leading cause of death among those 65 years of age and older?
Occupational and Physical Therapists help people, who have some sort of physical or cognitive deficit, to do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities or occupations. Simply stated, we help clients to be able to participate in activities that are meaningful to them. This could include anything from brushing their teeth to writing a check or from cooking a meal to playing a game with a grandchild.
This is a highly effective and intensive treatment protocol involving 1-hour, one-on-one treatment sessions 4 days per week for 4 weeks. There are also required exercises for homework that must be completed daily.
Our wellness program is a cash-based program where we continue to work with you to achieve your goals and to be consistent with your exercise program to prevent decline. This is an option after skilled services are no longer warranted.
This simply means choosing to remain at home as you age, rather than moving to a senior-living apartment complex, assisted living facility, or skilled nursing facility. We can help you stay in your home for as long as possible!
An occupational therapist has the unique ability to assess your strengths and deficits and see how you function in your home. In addition, we can make recommendations that take into account the progression of your illness or disease and the difficulties you may expect to experience later in life so you can plan for those now.
Your medically necessary treatment is covered under Medicare Part B services. If you do not have Medicare Part B, there are out-of-network or cash-based options for you to receive services. Please contact us and we'll be happy to perform a pre-authorization to ensure what services you are covered for.
You can call us at (609) 566-9152 or email us at alternativehealthcarecareers@mycrmsupport.com and we'll be happy to offer you a free consultation call and book an appointment for you.
You can download and read more about LVST and it's effectiveness in treating Parkinson's Disease below.
You can download this checklist by the CDC for different things you can do to make your home safer.
We will schedule an in-home evaluation and get you started working on your goals!
